Carencro, Louisiana, is located in a suburb of the city of Lafayette, Louisiana. The name is a Louisiana Creole word for buzzard, meaning where large flocks of buzzards roosted in cypress trees. The original name was St. Pierre. Carencro is a part of the Lafayette Metropolitan Statistical Area and has a population of 7,526 people. The city is conveniently located near I-10 and I-49. The early settlers of Carencro formed the basis for the language, customs, food, music and religion that is still in existence today. The homes are predominantly single family residences. Many homes contain 3 or more bedrooms and are situated on acreage. Homes with 4 bedrooms, built-ins, 9+ ft. ceilings, slate flooring and lakes or pond are available as well as smaller homes on less than an acre with pools, patios, privacy fence and lot of shade trees.
The residents of Carencro are served by the Lafayette Parish School District. The centerpiece of the town is St. Peter’s Catholic Church and the cemetery. The church has an elaborate cypress-carved entrance, entrance hall and altar. The pews are elaborate as well and were once sold to parishioners to raise money for the church.

Pelican Park is a multi-million dollar complex featuring country club surroundings and hosts many corporate events, concerts and festivals. Becky was very understanding and showed compassion throughout the entire process.
I will remember how this transaction brought two families so close and Alison never felt like an agent she was more like family.
Al and Lacey with Keaty helped us through every step of the process both purchasing our new home and selling our old. When things got stressful for us they remained positive and professional and helped to alleviate all of our concerns. Their expertise guided us to a closing that we couldn’t have been happier with! I cannot recommend them more!
Nicole is very patient with us and unfailing polite and respectful even when things get difficult.
Tony always went above and beyond to get us the information we requested.
Leslie Guillory is our realtor and she is the best! Like really, she is so calm and patient and smart.
